LiFePO₄ batteries are safe: They don't explode, are non-flammable and are stable at high temperatures (up to 60°C for the ones we sell).

Great cycle properties

Low self-discharge rate and high cycle count

Like other Lithiums and unlike Nickel based batteries, LiFePO₄ batteries have a low self-discharge rate and long shelf life, which means that you don't need to worry about their state of charge after they've been sitting for a while. They exhibit no memory effect and can be fully discharged, making their full capacity available every cycle.

LiFePO₄ also offers high cycle life, easily exceeding a thousand charge/discharge cycles—much higher than other Lithium chemistries, which often start to lose significant capacity after just a few hundred cycles.

High power rating

High discharge rate, low internal resistance

LiFePO₄ batteries are suitable for high power applications—some can be discharged at up to 10C! The cells we use are optimized for high energy density instead, but they can still be discharged at up to 2-3C*.

On top of that, the output voltage stays stable at 3.2 – 3.3 V during most of the discharge, making it possible to actually use most of their capacity!

Environmentally friendly

No heavy metals

LiFePO₄ batteries contain no heavy metals, are environmentally friendly and RoHS compliant. Since they have a high charge/discharge cycle count, you can keep using the same batteries for a long time, keeping them out of the landfill. By moving away from disposable batteries as well as rechargeables that contain heavy metals, we help reduce waste and pollution.

Wide temperature range

Can be used in products for outdoor use

LiFePO₄ batteries have a wide operating temperature range. The ones we sell are fully specified over a discharge temperature range of -20°C to 60°C. So they're fine for powering your outdoor projects!
